Students are encouraged to submit abstracts for inclusion in the poster/oral sessions at THERMEC’2018. The THERMEC committee is hoping to offer 30 to35 grants to students expected to be funded by the French Education Ministry, Dynamic Systems Inc-USA, Trans Tech Publishers  and other industrial organization.

The student grants ( 20 female and 15 male)  will be given on merit to students from  European countries, Japan, Korea, India, PR China, Russia, Brazil, Australia, USA and Canada to participate at THERMEC2018 in Paris.

Only registered students ( those have paid the required registration fee by due date ) are requested to apply for grant by sending email to Prof T.Chandra at thermec2018-secretary@mat.mines-paristech.fr  and thermecforum@gmail.com after the  student applicant has  paid the registration fee by January 26,2018.

By March5, 2018 the outcome  wis expected to be known and only those students are selected to receive student grant/hotel accommodation will be notified via email.

PROCEDURE & CONDITIONS TO APPLY FOR STUDENT GRANT:

35 Students (20 female and 15 male) from various countries are expected to be given grant on merit so apply soon .

Student applying for grant must register and pay student registration   fee (650euro) before January 26, 2018.

• FEE CAN NOT BE WAIVED FOR ANY STUDENT OR PARTICIPANT AT THERMEC’2018-strict THERMEC policy

** After paying the required registration  fee before  Jan26,2018 , the student should send email to  Prof.T. Chandra: Chairman Student Grant Committee( thermec2018-secretary@mat.mines-paristech.fr )  and  should request for  inclusion in the list of students  competing  for student grants at THERMEC2018.

  In the email to Prof Chandra,  the student must identify if student is Phd or Master or undergraduate student  and also if the student is    female or male.

 IMPORTANT: ONLY THOSE STUDENTS  HAVE REGISTERED AND PAID FEE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR STUDENT GRANT on  the FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

 THERMEC COMMITTEE will not communicate with non-registered student about grant at THERMEC2018.

*** The student must ask  his/her Professor or Supervisor to send half a page recommendation letter via email to Prof Chandra  in  support of the application   for a grant at THERMEC2018 .This letter must reach Prof Chandra via email  by February 5,2018

**** By March 5 , 2018 only  those students selected to receive  grant will be notified via email by Prof T. Chandra.

STUDENT GRANT: What may it include

STUDENT GRANT at THERMEC2018 is expected to cover the Hotel  Accommodation  for  student  for 5 nights in Paris ( July 9 : Check In ,  July13, 2018: Check out ) which only the THERMEC Committee will arrange and pay for it for the student .

In addition to this there may be a   possibility for the THERMEC Committee to arrange some  cash to the student at the registration desk in Paris.
